At the 2026 NAB Show, DHD Audio will emphasize the expanded capabilities of several production system offerings through the release of its new firmware version.
The update applies to DHD’s DX2, RX2, SX2 and TX2 broadcast audio mixers, the RM1 portable production unit and XC3/XD3/XS2 processing cores. Exhibiting in the Central Hall, the company is also unveiling four new API-related features, the Routing Web App and the RM1 Pro studio-quality audio production system.
Firmware 10.4 introduces three new configuration capabilities: flex channels, mic preamp control, and channel categories.
The company said that through flex channels, source selection is performed from a pre-assigned input source list rather than from the pool of fader channels.
Mic preamp control allows a microphone input’s A-Gain value to be set via the console’s touchscreen, Views App, or API without needing to be assigned to a fader.
Additionally, channel categories allow the input source list to be filtered for specific signals.
DHD has also introduced the HTML5-based Routing Web App, which runs directly on the web server integrated within the DHD processing core. It allows incoming sources and output ports to be securely assigned, viewed and managed by an operator situated locally or remotely.
Also new is the RM1 Pro, an audio production system housed in a compact desktop unit, measuring 8.3 inches by 7.3 inches by 1.8 inches and weighing approximately 2.2 pounds.
The system is designed for remote or onsite broadcast contribution, live news production, web radio and podcasting, DHD said.
