StreamGuys has announced its first AI-based offerings, which will be on display at this year’s NAB Show.
The content delivery provider said it is now offering workflow integrations to assist with the manual tagging process for ad markers in podcasts and on-demand content. AI also now assists with its live stream captioning services.

The features will be unveiled at StreamGuys’ NAB Show 2025 booth.
In a release, the company said the addition of AI eliminates the need to insert markers at a particular second. The tagging tool is trained to recognize the transition point between the end of a segment and the ad break, such as in a recorded podcast. It says its SGrecast service customers can use the tool to convert live broadcasts into podcasts with the intention of monetizing the content.
In 2023, the company said it released a conversion tool to change SCTE-35 video insertion markers into ID3 metadata markers. However, tagging those markers had remained a manual process.
Eduardo Martinez, StreamGuys’ VP of technology, said in a release that the AI technology can provide automatic summaries and transcriptions of podcasts. The company said the feature can be applied to libraries of existing podcasts.
Martinez said the features should be viewed as an augmentation to human-operated production workflows.
