SiriusXM, the satellite radio broadcaster, will broadcast Taps at noon on Memorial Day, Monday.
The one-minute special broadcast is part of a campaign with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America organization called Go Silent, which is an effort “to remind Americans to remember the meaning of Memorial Day. The group has asked everyone to pledge a moment of silence on Memorial Day,” according to a release.
The broadcast will be on all SiriusXM channels and it is planned to coincide with the ceremonial laying of the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery.
