Sky Sports Network Opts for Nautel

Replaces equipment with 22 transmitters

Australian broadcaster Sky Sports Radio Network has replaced aging equipment with 22 Nautel AM and FM transmitters.

These transmitters range in power levels from 300 W to 12 kW, the new fleet will replace aging equipment in both metropolitan and regional transmitter sites.

Authorized distributor Innes Corporation coordinated the sale.

“It was an easy decision to choose Nautel for our network replacement needs due to their excellent reputation for reliability and support,” said Sky Sports Radio Chief Engineer Max Carter. “This is backed up by almost 30 years of firsthand experience with an early Nautel Ampfet series still delivering our primary Sydney metro service.”

There were 100 new deployments of Nautel equipment in Australia in the past year.
