Smarts Chooses APT

You might say it’s a smart move for APT.
Smarts Broadcast Systems said it plans to use only Audio Processing Technology ACE 100 audio cards in its Smartcaster line of broadcast products.
Separately, Smarts announced plans to license Soft apt-X, the software version of APT’s data compression algorithm. Smarts plans to use Soft apt-X in a product line of apt-X CD rippers, which will enable radio station automation suites to convert CD audio direct to hard drive at speeds “much faster than real time.”
