California-based StreamS/Modulation Index LCC and German-based Warptec Software GmbH are teaming up for EU distribution and development.
Warptec, a European app development company, will handle the sales and support of StreamS products throughout the EU and non-EU European countries.
According to John Schaab, director of marketing for StreamS, the company wanted to reach the right people in the European IT sector. “Based on our 12 years of experience with broadcast hardware dealers for international sales at Orban, and understanding the divide between terrestrial broadcast engineering and IT engineering, we knew that we needed to find an outlet that could target the right people within the IT sector, as they are typically in charge of the internet and mobile platforms,” he said.
“Warptec will also have additional capability of greatly increasing our development resources,” he added. “The addition of their mobile line of players and ability to do custom player development will allow us to fulfill our goal of being able to supply everything from the playout to the player.”
