Symetrix is reenergizing its presence in radio, with its new AirTools line aimed at broadcast.
The first product in the family is the 6100 Broadcast Audio delay, an upgrade of the venerable 610. It offers higher specs for FM and satellite broadcasting and 24-bit performance for computer and Internet Netcasting duties. It offers 20 seconds of delay buffer and has a network control interface.
The company also earned a Radio World “Cool Stuff” Award for its AirTools Audio Routing System, available later this year, which promises to bring affordable routing/switching to smaller markets and stations with tight budgets.
