Trautmann Heads to Dial Global, Triton

Engineer has long been associated with Westwood One

Dial Global/Triton Radio Networks has lured Conrad Trautmann and named him to a newly created post, executive vice president of technology.

He comes to the company from Westwood One, where he was senior VP of engineering and IT; there he oversaw radio and TV technology operations including development and support of its software and hardware infrastructure, as well as the design, buildout, relocation and operation of its broadcast centers for the news network and Metro Traffic.

“Trautmann will oversee all aspects of Dial Global’s technical infrastructure, including studio operations, engineering, distribution, telecommunications and information management systems,” the company stated. Based in New York, he will report to Ken Williams and David Landau, co-presidents/CEOs of Dial Global and Spencer Brown, president/CEO of Triton Radio Networks.

Trautmann has held chief engineering and IT positions with Clear Channel, Cox Radio and NewCity and is active in SBE.

Dial Global is a radio network company; it provides national ad sales representation to radio programs and networks; it also produces formats, shows and prep services. Dial Global is owned by Triton Media Group.
