Come August, prominent industry lawyer and Radio World columnist Barry D. Umansky will have a new title.
Umansky, former NAB deputy general counsel, will leave Thompson Hine LLP in Washington to become the Edmund F. and Virginia B. Ball Chair in Telecommunications at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind.
He also moves his law practice as of July 1 to the Washington communications law firm of Irwin, Campbell & Tannenwald, P.C.
Umansky will continue to write about law issues in Radio World.
