The Voice of America’s Korean Service recently launched three new programs to help extend the U.S. international service to North Koreans.
The moves also help transforms the VOA Seoul, South Korea, bureau into a multimedia News Center.
VOA’s three new Korean-language programs — “America Today,” “News Panorama” and “VOA News Parade” — increase the Korean Service’s radio broadcasts to five hours daily.
The Seoul News Center also gains in staff and equipment for independent productions to feed reports from the Korean Peninsula and elsewhere in Asia for use throughout VOA.
