The Society of Voice Arts and Sciences wants to hear your voice for the fourth annual Voice Arts Awards as it is officially accepting entries for this year’s competition.
The Voice Arts Awards recognizes voice actors, creative directors, producers, casting directors, copywriters and audio engineers for their “skill and artistry.”
Entries for the awards must have been made available between Jan. 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017; demo reels can also be submitted, but don’t need to fall within that time period. Individuals or companies are open to submit entries.
Categories for this year’s awards include radio, national TV, local TV, spoken word, narration, political, instructional, voiceover podcast, audio books, trailers, animation, and video games.
The initial deadline for the Voice Arts Awards is July 31. Entries can be accepted until Aug. 6, but a late fee will be charged. For more information on rules and fees, visit www.sovas.org/rules-eligibility.
In addition, SOVAS will honor Lily Tomlin and Ken Burns during this year’s ceremony. Tomlin will receive the Voice Arts Icon Award for Lifetime Achievement. Burns will be honored with the Muhammad Ali Voice of Humanity Honor.
The Voice Arts Awards will be held in New York on Nov. 5.
