The American Antitrust Institute, a Washington-based non-profit education, research, and advocacy organization, filed comments with the FCC opposing the proposed merger of XM and Sirius, NAB stated in an announcement.
The group said in its cover letter that XM and Sirius “have not demonstrated that competition in satellite DARS is no longer in the public interest.” It said competition between the two providers would continue to provide “significant benefits to consumers.”
