WorldDAB Holds Session at Geneva Motor Show

Will comprise four one-hour modules with choice to attend individual modules or entire session

WorldDAB is heading to the Geneva International Motor Show 2016. The organization will lead a session in which it will discuss why “DAB/DAB+ is the right choice for vehicles today and in the future.”

Connecting the automotive and broadcasting industries, session topics include why hybrid radio will change the UI in the car and how drivers will benefit from a connected radio experience. The session will be made up four modules — Broadcasters & Automotive; Infotainment, Connected Car & Hybrid Radio; Safety & Security; and Dealers & Selling Digital Radio — with attendees having the option of sit in on individual modules or the entire session.

Speakers for the session include Roger Lanctot, associate director, global automotive practice, Strategy Analytics; Patrick Hannon, president of WorldDAB and vice president of corporate development at Frontier Silicon; Mark Friend, controller, BBC Radio & Music Multiplatform; Michael Hill, managing director, Radioplayer; Ernst Werder, managing partner, MCDT; Nick Piggott, chair, RadioDNS Project; Olaf Korte, head of broadcast application group, Fraunhofer ILS; and Jacqueline Bierhorst, project leader, Digital Radio+ Network.

The Geneva International Motor Show 2016 will take place March 3–13. WorldDAB will hold its session on March 8.
