Audio Processing Technology will demonstrate a compact wireless IP STL/RPU system that uses the company’s cascade-resistant low-delay apt-X coding algorithm.
The demo will include the use of APT’s WorldNet Chicago audio codec with a transmitter and receiver from Redline Communications, a system known as the RemoteCaster. It provides a user-defined, full-duplex microwave link for the transmission of audio with minimal delay. When coupled with APT’s WorldNet Oslo, the Redline system supports multichannel audio with frequency response up to 22.5 kHz.
Using the 5.8 GHz license-free band, the company says, RemoteCaster provides a high-capacity transmission link up to 50 miles LOS. Shorter NLOS hops also are possible.
