Broadcast Tech Direct LLC, founded by Richard Gerlovich, was established to support the evolving technical needs of U.S. radio broadcasters.
The company provides comprehensive technical services and systems integration. Gerlovich is a veteran engineer with 30 years of experience including leadership roles at iHeartMedia and Cox Media Group.
“As stations transition to remote production and sophisticated AoIP platforms, Broadcast Tech Direct offers the specialized expertise needed to bridge resource gaps and manage large-scale equipment rollouts,” it states.
Gerlovich said their goal is to ensure that even the smallest stations have access to high-level engineering expertise.
The firm offers systems integration including full-scale installation of automated playout systems like WideOrbit, NexGen and PlayoutOne as well as AoIP routing platforms such as Wheatstone, Axia and SAS.
It also does professional installation and maintenance for Nautel and GatesAir transmitters, as well as FCC technical compliance auditing and field strength measurement reporting. And it manages the signal chain to ensure integration between modern studio workflows and high-power RF transmission.
Beyond field engineering, the company provides facility design, project management and business continuity planning to keep stations on the air.
Gerlovich is vice chairman of SBE Chapter 105 in Houston and a member of the Texas Association of Broadcasters’ Tech Sessions Planning Committee.
