Cakewalk’s Sonar X1 music creation program is the recipient of a major update.
Called “c,” as in X1c, the downloadable update is free for registered users of Sonar X1 Producer, Studio, Essential and V-Studio 700.
Much of the update is devoted to bug fixes and solving known issues. New UIs for the Step Sequencer and Construction Loop View are added and others are tweaked, especially where items were poorly drawn.
Some tools also find themselves tweaked, while others have their default settings changed. One wholly new feature is compatibility with 23.976 timecode (NTSC progressive video).
