EMF Will Deploy MaxxCasting in a 4th Market

Synchronized booster system is intended to improve coverage

Educational Media Foundation, EMFFrom the Who’s Buying what page: Educational Media Foundation’s KWLR(FM) in Little Rock, Ark., will deploy a MaxxCasting system from GeoBroadcast Solutions.

“Operating as part of the K-LOVE network of contemporary Christian music radio stations, KWLR will join three other EMF stations (Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles) that have improved its coverage and widened its listener base through more building penetration and seamless mobile reception,” the manufacturer said.

It quoted EMF VP of Signal Development Joe Miller saying that much of downtown Little Rock has been receiving a marginal signal from KWLR.

GBS CTO Paul Littleton said in the announcement that the system will increase overall coverage, including “significantly more building penetration and creating seamless mobile reception.”

The MaxxCasting system uses directionalized synchronized booster sites to help reach a broader portion of a station’s service area.
