Lawo Touts IP-Based Audio Products at IBC

Demonstrating a unified infrastructure for audio, video, data and control

IBC2017 is serving as the platform to showcase a range of new products that make up a unified infrastructure for audio, video, data and control in practical applications.

One of the products on display is Lawo’s Seamless Orchestration & Unification Layer (vsmSOUL). The vsmSOUL device is a service for IP-based production environments that manage the generation and routing of audio and video streams in any multi-vendor IP setup.

There is also Lawo’s flagship audio mixing console, the mc296, which offers surround sound mixing tools, Lawo-grade integrated loudness metering with full loudness control in accordance with ITU 1770.

The console is available in sizes between 24 and 200 faders and supports 44.1-96 kHz operation. In addition, Lawo is showing its new V_matrix vm_mv24-4 and vm_mv16-4 virtual modules to the show.

These VMs can monitor embedded and discrete audio, as well as 4K/UHD, 3G, HD and SD video. Finally, Lawo is highlighting the ruby radio console, which enables operators to mix and route audio using the same onscreen environment as other studio tools. Lawo is displaying all of these products at its booth, 8.B50.
