A free catalog of production music, Hundred Hand Slap, is available for radio stations to access.
Former BBC Radio lead producer Matt Fisher has curated the collection that includes talkover beds, imaging FX packages as well as sound design and production music.
“I wanted to build a place where great-sounding audio is easy to find, quick to use and built entirely with radio in mind,” Fisher said. He has more than 20 years of experience creating audio imaging for broadcasters.
The platform’s search engine allows users to browse content by mood, genre, station format, instrumentation and era, making it suitable for producers to find audio for their projects.
Access is free, and the library operates within the PRO system.
The library is registered with PRS and MCPS, Fisher said, which allows broadcasters to use the content through standard music reporting procedures.
Podcasters who seek to use the library are encouraged to contact Fisher for licensing.
In its first five months, Hundred Hand Slap has released approximately 40 albums, with more in production.
