Neutrik has introduced a USB Type-C 5G chassis connector with an integrated fly-lead patch cable.
The manufacturer said the NAUSBC-5G-FL chassis connectors are D-size connectors that are suitable for installation in AVL rack systems, embedded control units, mobile AVL setups and charging applications.
The connectors include integrated fly-lead patch cables at the rear. Four product variations offer fly-lead patch cables with various lengths, ranging from 3.9 inches to 9.8 inches.
They are rated for 5 Gbps data transfer and 100W power delivery for device charging.
Neutrik said that since the patch cables are part of the connector design, they reduce the risk of accidental cable pullout within the enclosure or behind the rack.
The front of the chassis connector accepts standard USB Type-C patch cables. It includes a UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant rating along with UV-resistant flange material for longevity and for outdoor suitability. The cable materials are halogen-free for safety in indoor environments.
