Arctic Palm and ENCO Systems, purveyors of datacasting programs, are now partners with Emmis Communications and its TagStation engine. TagStation supplies data to Emmis’ NextRadio app, designed for smartphones.
Arctic Palm’s CSRDS and ENCO’s PADapult join Broadcast Electronics TRE as middleware agents that will collect data and direct it through TagStation to the NextRadio app for displaying information and graphics on smartphones as they play radio station content (and advertisements).
The new partnerships recognized the fact that the datacasting market has many players and the key to success is having a program engine that works with as many players as possible, explained a release.
