Belgian Radio Days Hits Target

First edition of the event attracted more than 100 attendees

About 200 radio professionals attended the first edition of Belgian Radio Days.

With more than 20 exhibitors and over 100 public and commercial radio professionals attending each day, the first edition of the Belgian Radio Days, which took place March 17–18 in Nazareth, Belgium, hit the target.

The two-day event was staged by Benelux radio equipment supplier and installation company TVV Sound in preparation for the country’s radio licence renewals scheduled for this fall.

Organizer Edo Dijkstra and his team worked with several equipment manufacturers to develop a series of conferences and demonstrations, covering topics such as antenna design (Aldena), mixing consoles (Axia), monitoring and audioprocessing (DEVA Broadcast and Omnia).

The sessions were hosted by product specialists from exhibiting companies. In addition to live demonstrations, using a temporary broadcast licence, Rohde & Schwartz, BW Broadcast, Neetra and Abtec constructed a demo tower just outside the event location.

Dijkstra said he was happy with the turnout for the first Belgian Radio Days and announced a second edition for 2018.
