AEQ Live 20 Wireless System Available in U.S.

AEQ added a portable wireless bi-directional broadcast system to its product lineup.

AEQ added a portable wireless bi-directional broadcast system to its product lineup.

The Live 20 extended range transceiver system has been certified by the FCC and is available for the U.S. market.

Live 20 allows a reporter to send audio to the control booth or live studio while simultaneously receiving cue and talkback information. The system consists of the Live 20 TR, Live 20 T and Live 20 R.

The Live 20 TR is a full-duplex 16-channel transceiver. It is lightweight and can be carried over the shoulder. The company says the Li-Ion battery, along with the unit’s low-power consumption, gives reporters 4.5 hours of operation time at full power.

The Live 20 T and the Live 20 R complement the Live 20 TR by providing cue and talkback information; and receive the transmitted audio on any of the 16 channels respectively.

AEQ says the Live 20 system is ideal in a stadium scenario, where coverage of sporting events involves having a reporter on the ground. The reporter can receive instructions from the producer of the program while interviewing live from the field, enabling off-air communication with the reporter while he/she is live.
