André Mendes of the BBG has received a nod in the IT world.
Mendes, chief information officer/chief technical officer and the director of engineering and technical services for the Broadcast Board of Governors, has been nominated as a prospective recipient of a Breakaway Leaders Award. The award is given yearly at the Global CIO Executive Summit to IT professionals.
Mendes is one of 25 finalists for an award and one of only two from the federal government. The 2011 award theme is “Recognizing CIO Ambassadors for a New Business Future — Engage. Influence. Transform.”
The summit will be held Sept. 11–13 at the Kiawah Island Resort, S.C.
