Broadcast Electronics wants to get more consulting engineers certified to specify/design HD-R gear.
To that effort, it plans to continue to hold HD-R seminars, this time in San Francisco and Washington on Feb. 28 and March 2, respectively.
BE-accredited “Learn and Earn” sessions cover such topics as FM combining methods, AM antennas, datacasting and multicasting, as well as pending regulatory issues surrounding IBOC. Richard Hinkle, vice president Engineering & Technical Services, and Jerry Westberg, principal engineer will speak about these topics. John Bisset, BE NE Regional RF Sales Manager and Radio World contributor, will present field reports and case studies.
BE lists those who take part in the seminars on its Web site as resources for stations and groups seeking engineering services.
The seminars are free, but BE asks that participants pre-register at: consultants@bdcast.com.
The supplier will provide a continental breakfast and buffet lunch.
BE held the first seminar last June.
