FCC Commissioners Kathleen Abernathy and Jonathan Adelstein will be featured speakers at this year’s FCC Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 22, during the NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia.
The commissioners will talk about issues with Bruce Reese, NAB joint board chairman and president/CEO of Bonneville International.
Abernathy was sworn in in 2001. Her experience in the communications industry includes several FCC posts, serving as telecommunications legal advisor to Chairman Jim Quello, legal advisor to Commissioner Sherrie Marshall and special assistant to the FCC’s general counsel.
Adelstein was sworn in in 2002 and began a five-year term in 2004. He served for 15 years as a staff member in the Senate, with stints as a senior legislative aide to Majority Leader Tom Daschle, Sen. David Pryor, Sen. Harry Reid and Sen. Donald Riegle Jr.
