Don Backus has been with ENCO Systems since 1999, when he joined as sales manager. The company now has elevated him to the role of GM.
Backus, currently VP of sales and marketing, will retain those responsibilities as well. ENCO Systems — letters in its name refer to founder Eugene Novacek — makes digital audio delivery systems and radio automation.
Backus worked prior to ENCO as digital systems manager for Audio Broadcast Group in Grand Rapids, Mich. He also was president and general manager of WDBI(FM) in Tawas City-East Tawas, Mich.
