The Global Traffic Network European Radio Awards (ERA) event made its debut during the NAB European Radio Conference in Barcelona, Spain 4–6 November.
More 160 people attended the first-ever ERA ceremony, hosted by BBC broadcaster Jonathan Miles.
The top award, European Radio Station of the Year, for stations with a total survey area of over 1 million, went to Russian station Relax FM.
Romanian station Europa FM took the Best News Journalist/Team of the Year award, while Sedat Serkan Güray of Turkish station Burç FM won the Best Producer award. Stefan Nestler of Deutsche Welle won the Best Sports Special award.
The Best Radio Commercial award went to Carsten Agerback of Radio SLR in Denmark. Rádio Expres in the Slovak Republic collected the Best Produced Promo award. Nelson Monfort of Radio Classique in France won Best Music Presenter while Radio FG won the Best Radio Station Web Site award.
