Radio Magic, a two station FM network broadcasting to the Naples region of southern Italy, has upgraded its ENCO DAD radio automation platform to now include a new playlist creation function and remote connectivity tools to give operators more control over music management and advertising playout across stations.
“DAD has always worked well for us, and has simplified our work from both a time and staff point of view; without it, we would need at least 12 operators just to manage our on-air operation alone. The new tools are as intuitive as the DAD applications we have added in the past, with a quick learning curve that allowed us to integrate them into our operation immediately,” said Raffaele Barbieri, general manager for Radio Magic, who noted the DAD platform has been used at Radio Magic since 1995.
Radio Magic has also begun to use ENCO’s enCloud suite, which includes the ENCO iDAD mobile app, for adding new music, advertising content and voice-tracking from any networked location to the DAD system for playout or production purposes. To do all of this, Radio Magic is using iPads with the downloaded iDAD-Remote app.
