The Livio Radio Bluetooth Car Internet Radio Kit is now available at 4,400 RadioShack stores, adding a brick-and-mortar retail outlet for the plug-and-play device.
The gadget brings Internet radio and music from a listener’s iPod or iPhone to any FM car stereo. The kit also offers Bluetooth hands-free calling, USB charging and buttons to control the Livio Car Internet Radio application.
Livio Radio Founder/CEO Jake Sigal believes the device is changing the way people use their Apple iPhone or iPod Touch devices in their cars. “We know car Internet radio, and RadioShack knows consumer electronics.”
The kit has been available since September on Amazon.com and Livio Radio’s online shop for around $120.
RadioShack offers the device in time for the holidays; the retailer will offer the kit in a new section featuring a range of app-powered devices. RadioShack Merchandising VP for Mobility Allen McClard says as Apple’s App Store expands, the retailer is seeing “more devices like Livio’s Bluetooth Car Internet Radio Kit that extend the usefulness of those apps in our daily lives.”
