The Mavericks will provide the entertainment at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards dinner, hosted by CBS Radio’s “Shotgun Tom” Kelly.

The event, sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, will take place Sept. 19 during the 2013 Radio Show at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Fla.

The Grammy Award-winning group blends country, rock and Cuban sounds, and their latest album release, “In Time,” received rave reviews from the L.A. Times and USA Today, according to a release.

The group consists of drummer Paul Deakin, multi-instrumentalist Robert Reynolds, keyboardist Jerry Dale McFadden, guitarist Eddie Perez and lead singer/frontman Raul Malo, who wrote each track.
