The new Omnia.8X processor has eight discrete three-band stereo audio processors in its 2-rackunit frame.
Omnia Audio designed the multichannel unit to simultaneously process a full complement of audio streams, including HD Radio multicast content, Internet streams, headphone feeds and satellite feeds. It uses the Livewire standard for Ethernet-based networking.
When connected to an Axia network, a single Cat6 connection can carry eight stereo inputs, eight stereo outputs and remote control.
Each of the eight audio processors has three bands of automatic gain control (AGC) plus wideband AGC, an Omnia look-ahead final limiter and bass enhancement controls, in addition to factory presets.
