Radio salespeople are already well aware of Pandora’s ambitions in the advertising arena.
Now Internet radio/music service Pandora has named Steven Kritzman as senior vice president of advertising sales. He previously was Pandora’s director of sales for the New York and mid-Atlantic region but has roots in traditional terrestrial radio.
In his new position, according to a release, Kritzman “will be responsible for setting and executing the U.S. sales strategy for the company’s digital, network radio and spot radio businesses. Additionally, he will manage Pandora’s national advertising sales teams.” He will report to Pandora Chief Revenue Officer John Trimble.
Kritzman spent 10 years with Clear Channel Radio, most recently as director of sales for Clear Channel Radio properties in New York City.
Commenting on the appointment, Trimble said, “As Pandora continues its rapid growth, making strategic decisions and effectively executing our advertising sales strategy requires a strong and innovative leader.”
