The Society of Broadcast Engineers has hired a marketing and growth director, a new position.
Andrew Sveum comes with a background in business ownership, nonprofit leadership, international business, marketing, grant research and partnership development, according to the SBE announcement.
It said he has “a broad perspective on organizational growth and community engagement.”
He is founder and executive director of Freedom Rising, a nonprofit that works on fighting human trafficking and supporting vulnerable communities primarily in Bangladesh.
He also has expertise in helping nonprofits use AI tools. According to his LinkedIn profile he founded CharitAI Solutions, helping nonprofits use AI “to streamline operations, enhance fundraising and maximize their impact.”
The society noted that this position was established as an initiative of its new strategic plan, “reflecting the organization’s commitment to expanding its reach, strengthening member engagement and supporting long-term growth.”
Sveum has a degree in political science with an emphasis in nonprofit management, grant research and nonprofit marketing.
