Telos Alliance has promoted Jim Armstrong to become senior director of sales for the U.S. and Canada.

He most recently was director of eastern U.S. sales. In its announcement the company called him “a cornerstone of the Telos Alliance salesforce for nearly 20 years.”

“In his new role, he will expand his responsibilities to serve customers throughout North America, focusing on the company’s Telos, Omnia, Axia, 25-Seven and Telos Infinity product families,” it said.

The announcement was made by Marty Sacks, EVP of sales, marketing and strategy. He cited Armstong’s ongoing relationships with customers and channel partners as well as “his deep industry knowledge, strong technical skills and lifelong passion for broadcasting.”

Armstrong joined the company in 2006. He has experience at Boston-area radio stations on-air and in operations. In the manufacturing sector he has worked at Burk Technology, Gentner Communications, Klotz Digital and SAS.

Earlier this month, Telos Alliance promoted Cam Eicher from his role as senior VP of worldwide sales to become executive vice president of audio production, as we reported.
