Pure to Sell Contour Internet Radio Through Amazon in The U.S.

Fifth tabletop Internet radio available from U.K.-based company available here

U.K.-based Pure says its Contour tabletop FM/Internet radio will be available in the United States exclusively through Amazon.

The list price is $329.

Radio World reported from CES this year that Contour is an iPhone/iPod dock that plays FM or Internet radio stations, as well as music streamed from a Mac, PC or a media player. Video outputs enable users to see video content from their iPhone or iPod on their TV.

Amazon is the first U.S. retailer for Pure; the retailer is excited to offer a “leading European market brand” to its U.S. customers, said John Love, category leader for Amazon Mobile Electronics.

In tandem with its product line expansion, Pure has rolled out a remodel to its radio and media portal, The Lounge. Enter any combination of name, language, country, genre or audio quality into the search fields to locate content across both live radio and on-demand content. Users can now share favorite stations or on-demand content with friends from The Lounge, Twitter or Facebook.

For a limited time, American Amazon customers will receive free ground shipping on their Contour order. Pure intends to announce additional retail partners in the coming months.

Other Pure Internet radios also now available at Amazon.com include Oasis Flow, Siesta Flow, Evoke Flow and One Flow.
