Radio Ads Up in Q1

With local ad sales up 17% and national sales up 34% compared to the same period last year, the first quarter 2000 closes on a positive note for the radio industry, according to the RAB. Combined local and national revenue figures for Q1 2000 were 21% higher than last year.
April continued the rising radio revenue trend, closing with local sales up 19% while national dollars increased 32%. Combined local and national dollars climbed 22% over last year, making April the 92nd consecutive month of radio advertising increases.
