Radio Awards Add Charity Donation to Prize List

Future winners of the Radio-Mercury Awards’ annual Public Service Announcement Award will now receive a donation to their favorite charity.
The Radio Creative Fund, the nonprofit corporation that governs the awards, will donate $2,500 to the charity of choice for the PSA winner in 2003 and afterward. Though the awards, which honor excellence in creative radio advertising, have given out thousands of dollars in winnings for other categories, the PSA award was previously a trophy-only honor.
