Radio Margaritaville Heads to Sirius

Look for Parrotheads to begin listening to Sirius. Jimmy Buffett and the satcaster have signed a deal to present a Radio Margaritaville music channel. The 24-hour channel of music and concerts, debuts this summer.
Buffet says he listens to Sirius in his car and on his boat. “We designed Radio Margaritaville after the old pirate radio stations that sat offshore and played what they wanted.”
Buffett launched Radio Margaritaville in 1998 as an Internet-only channel, which will still be available at www.radiomargaritaville.com.
Sirius will also broadcast Radio Margaritaville live from a studio at Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant at Universal City in Orlando. The channel is expected to broadcast from other Margaritaville eateries as well.
