The Radio-Television News Directors Association announced the winners of the 2007 Edward R. Murrow Awards, recognizing excellence in electronic journalism.
In network radio, ABC News Radio wins six awards and CBS Radio News wins three, including one for Overall Excellence.
The Associated Press Radio Network, CBC National Radio News and National Public Radio also have each been awarded a Murrow.
Other Overall Excellence winners in radio include WBAL(AM) in Baltimore (large market) and KFDI(FM), Wichita, Kan. (small market).
Several local stations won multiple national Murrows. They are KCBS(AM), San Francisco; WBUR(FM), Boston; KFDI Wichita; WVPS(FM), Burlington, Vt.; WBAL Baltimore; and WDEL(AM), Wilmington, Del.
The awards will be presented at the RTNDA Awards Dinner on Oct. 15 in New York.
