The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association sends along note that one of their long-standing members, Russell W. Ross” Prieve passed away on Aug. 5. He had been seriously injured in a July 11, motorcycle accident.
Prieve was recently retired from Wave Communications where he served as a project coordinator for the telecommunications infrastructure and tower firm. He was semiretired dabbling in tower construction, 911 systems and more.
The WBA lists him as one of the “Benefactors.” Prieve enjoyed motorcycles, the outdoors, sports and woodcarving. He was known to carve 40-foot totem poles.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Regena, his sons, Noa and Nicholas and dogs, Doc and Wyatt. He is also survived by his mother Betty Mae and a sister, Irene. His brother Steve had recently passed away.
Prieve’s obituary can be seen here. There will be a viewing starting 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17 at Gunderson West Funeral and Cremation Care in Middleton, Wis. Services will be held at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Middleton Outreach Ministry.
