Samsung Electronics introduced a slim, lightweight Flash-memory player at CES. The YP-Z5 Music Jukebox works with music subscription services and features a rechargeable battery that can provide up to 24 hours of music.
The YP-Z5 is enabled for Microsoft Plays For Sure Audio Download and Subscriptions; the company says it is the first 4 GB Flash memory MP3 player that supports subscription services such as MTV’s Urge, Napster, Rhapsody, and Yahoo, according to Samsung.
The product has a 1.8-inch color TFT-LCD screen. Users can customize their user interface background with any JPEG. Consumers can play DRM content transferred from a PC, and the player supports MP3, WMA, WMA DRM10 and JPEG formats.
The YP-Z5 Music Jukebox will be available in February at $199 list for the 2 GB version and $249 for the 4 GB version.
