Schwieger, Martin Set Their Eyes on Abbey Road

What could be cooler for a music fan than actually recording a song at Abbey Road?

What could be cooler for a music fan than actually recording a song at Abbey Road?

Recording two songs!

That’s what radio industry colleagues Tim Schwieger and Bob Martin have marked on their calendar for next August as they plan a “pilgrimage” to London and a day recording two original songs.

The friends are writing about their adventure in a blog, “A Journey of Two Musicians on a Mid-Life Mission.”

Schwieger, president of supplier BSW by day, writes: “Actually, I’ve been looking forward to a mid-life crisis and using it as a bona-fide excuse to do something completely off the Richter scale. I have been blessed with wonderful women in my life, so a trumped up girlfriend is just a waste of my time and resources.”

Martin runs Robert T. Martin & Associates, an advertising and marketing firm.

Now tying to write a song worthy of their legendary studio setting, Schwieger adds: “Here is my Mr. Obvious Realization #1 … This is hard.”
