Scott Studios, Computer Concepts to Merge

Scott Studios Corp. and Computer Concepts Corp. intend to merge by the end of this month. The merger combines two companies that both create studio touch screen digital audio recorders. The combined market share of the companies would be 3,500 stations, said President Dave Scott.
All existing products will continue to be sold, serviced and supported, and each company will retain its name.
“All client stations will benefit from free and low-cost software upgrades with enhanced features,” said Scott.
Scott Studios and Computer Concepts plan to jointly develop and sell Visual Traffic, a 32-bit traffic and billing software package. The companies plan to introduce two methods of ad order entry at the NAB Radio Show, by Palm Pilot and via the Internet.
