At the 2025 IBC Show, held Sept. 12–15 in Amsterdam, AEQ will highlight its Xplorer Max, a wireless intercom beltpack.
According to the Madrid-based manufacturer, Xplorer Max operates in the 5 GHz band using digital OFDM radio technology, “ensuring stable connections even in complex environments.”
“With up to 400 mW of transmission power and a range of up to 600 meters [1,968 feet] in open spaces, it guarantees that every message is delivered clearly and without interruptions,” said AEQ in a press release.

Compatible with AEQ Crossnet, Conexia and TH5000 matrices, AEQ said the Xplorer Max easily integrates with wired panels and commentator units. Additionally, it can operate independently in Xpeak —AEQ’s intercom system — and party-line systems.
AEQ said: “Its intuitive interface makes communication management simple: four direct-access keys organized across up to four pages, two additional programmable keys and a multifunction display allow users to control connections quickly and efficiently.”
With an IP67 rating, the beltpack is dust and water resistant and can operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +55°C (-22°F and +131°F), making it suitable for demanding outdoor locations.
