More major sports events are coming to satellite radio.
Sirius is expanding its college basketball offerings to include NCAA March Madness. The satcaster has an agreement with Westwood One to broadcast the games of the Division I Men’s Basketball Championships for three years.
Sirius did not release terms of the deal with WWO, which owns the national radio broadcast rights to all 88 NCAA championships, including the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship through an agreement with CBS Sports and the NCAA. Sirius is rebroadcasting the WWO feed for each game.
The 2005 championship begins with the opening round game on March 15 and concludes with the championship game on April 4 in St. Louis.
All games will be offered to Sirius subscribers as part of the basic monthly subscription price of $12.95.
