WideOrbit Adds 65 Stations to WO Traffic

Newcap Radio adopts WideOrbit Traffic and Automation

Media advertising management software company WideOrbit is bringing 65 radio and television stations to its WO Traffic system. Those 65 stations span nine media groups and 18 markets.

Canadian broadcaster Newcap Radio is doing a company-wide rollout of WO Traffic and WO Automation for Radio across its 90 stations. The company’s Vancouver and Toronto markets are going live on WO Traffic Monday, according to WideOrbit.

“Newcap Radio has been working with WideOrbit for about a year now,” said Cathy Airey, WideOrbit project manager at Newcap Radio. “I’ve found the implementation specialists to be knowledgeable and accommodating, as well as flexible to meet the specific needs in each market.”

WideOrbit’s first install was in February 2001 at WENY(TV), Elmira, N.Y. Today, according to the company, 2,600 stations are using WideOrbit Traffic systems, with the larger media clients running WO Traffic across multiple properties, channels and media.
