This series features products that won the Radio World Best of Show Award at the 2026 IBC Show. Winners were chosen for their innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.

Stereo Tool 11 is the latest version of Thimeo Audio Technology’s audio processing software for FM, AM, HD and streaming broadcasters.

The company said it offers two important advances: version 2 of the RuleBreaker final clipper and version 5 of MicroMPX, Thimeo’s technology for transporting a complete FM composite MPX signal over IP.

The new version of the RuleBreaker clipper delivers approximately 0.4 dB more loudness at comparable quality, the company said, with punchier transient handling, more open highs through revised frequency prioritization, “greatly improved” pumping protection and a new “Pling Plong” filter that reduces crackling artifacts.

“A single checkbox activates the new recommended settings. It achieves what was thought impossible. After two decades of refinement, FM loudness was widely considered at its physical ceiling — including by Thimeo,” it wrote.

Thimeo said Stereo Tool 11 “solves the industry’s real problem: loudness with fatigue.”

It is a free update for Stereo Tool users and Thimeo hardware platforms, including STXtreme and StereoToolBox.
