New from Audemat at IBC2013 will be an updated version of the FM Modulation Analyzer. A new RF front end has been added to the unit and it is now available in two tailored and cost-effective packages.
The Modulation Analyzer is a test and measurement tool with the tools required for commissioning and testing an FM Transmitter in a 3U box. Any FM signal can be simulated and then fed back into the software suite of the Modulation Analyzer for comprehensive and in-depth measurement and analysis.
The new RF front end enhances its capabilities by enabling higher dynamic range measurements in the field. Supplied as standard on all versions of the unit, this means that accurate and detailed measurements can be taken anywhere in the reception area and by those without access to the transmitter site.
The standard configuration of the Modulation Analyzer offers the basic tools required for precise FM measurements such as an RF, MPX, spectrum, modulation, audio and RDS analyzers. The advanced Lab Tools Version adds a signal generator for RF, MPX and audio, distortion meters, an oscilloscope display and automatic measurements.
The unit can therefore be deployed as a “one-box” solution for in-depth testing of FM equipment in a development, production or broadcast environment.
