ERI Debuts Antenna Control, VSWR Protection Systems

ERI is introducing the ACS-100 antenna control system, which it calls a solution to the problem of four-port antenna switch control.

It can be programmed to handle the switch position requirements needed for a particular antenna configuration or set of antenna switches.

Features include an LCD display that shows status of events such as a time/date stamp of each event; front-panel control of status and user-programmable parameters; remote interlock A and B path closures for one to four antenna switches; and remote control and status via dry contact closure or optional Ethernet connection.

Also debuting: the VPS-100 VSWR protection system provides up to eight simultaneous sets of form C contact closures for multiple transmitter control in the event of an antenna fault.

Additionally, ERI is displaying its Lynx dual-input side-mount FM antenna, which transmits analog and digital FM signals without requiring a high-loss hybrid combiner, and while maintaining high isolation between the digital and analog transmitters. Low-power isolators may be specified based on site-specific considerations for added protection to the digital transmitter or for multiplexed operations.
